DogSport ("we", "us", "our") operates the dogsport.app website and service. This page describes our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Full name
• Password (encrypted, we cannot read it)
• Club affiliation (optional)

Training Data

When you use DogSport, you may provide:

• Dog profiles (name, breed, pedigree information)
• Training session logs (date, location, exercises, scores)
• Trial results (scores, judge information)
• Club memberships
• GPS location data (optional, when using location capture)

Automatically Collected Information

We may collect standard web analytics data including:

• Pages visited and features used
• Browser type and device information
• IP address (for security purposes)

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the DogSport service
• Send transactional emails (password resets, account verification)
• Send notification emails you have opted into (trial reminders, club updates)
• Improve the service based on usage patterns
• Respond to your requests and support inquiries

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database with row-level security). All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and cannot be read by anyone, including us. Authentication sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies.

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• Service providers that help us operate (hosting, email delivery, payment processing)
• When required by law or legal process
• With your explicit consent

Our service providers include Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), AWS SES (email delivery), Cloudflare (DNS and security), and Anthropic (AI-powered features).

DogSport uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate training insights and trial readiness reports. When you use AI features:

• Your training session data and trial scores are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis
• Data is processed in real-time and not stored by Anthropic beyond the request
• AI-generated reports are stored in your account for your reference
• AI analysis is for training guidance only — it is not professional instruction or veterinary advice
• You can opt out of AI features by simply not using them — no data is sent unless you click "Check Readiness"

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data
• Opt out of non-essential emails via notification preferences

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We use Vercel Analytics for basic, privacy-friendly usage analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

DogSport is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
